The Great Wall of China stretches like a giant stone dragon across mountains, deserts, and grasslands. Built over many centuries by millions of workers, this incredible wall was designed to protect China from invading armies from the north.
Imagine walking along this massive wall - it's so wide that five horses could ride side by side on top! The wall has watchtowers every few miles where soldiers would light fires to send messages to other parts of the wall. Some parts of the wall are over 2,000 years old, making it one of the oldest structures still standing today.
Contrary to popular belief, you can't actually see the Great Wall from space with the naked eye, but it's still one of the most amazing things humans have ever built. Today, millions of visitors from around the world come to walk on this ancient wonder and imagine what life was like for the brave soldiers who once guarded China's borders.
